A long time ago the summer season was welcomed as a time of life and love. Lately it's just been sweaty balls, of sweaty people, in sweat. It's not hot like burning days of summer, it's humid. Like I have to lay down and sleep more humid. This is all thanks to climate change, and yes it's real to me dammit.
I can't help but notice though. Winter was mild, to the point of being more like an extended autumn than an actual winter season. The was little to no snowstorms of epic proportions. And the freezing air was just nonexistent with a strong breeze. These happenings all lead me to believe summer wouldn't be that bad. In fact it hasn't been that bad in terms of heat. But the humidity is disgusting at times. This is another sign of the Greenhouse Effect at work. And that is very bad.
Hot planets create hot chemical mixtures. Humid planets carry disease after disease since the chemicals don't burn away or freeze to the point of being weak. The more humid it is the harder it is to build a strong immunity to viruses from places with different temperatures. So someone from Alaska shouldn't visit Australia in summer. The traveling from one country to the next is hard enough. Doing it while constantly getting sick can be life threatening.
So summer is half way over, that doesn't mean that the effects will go also. I'm concerned that some things that came with summer will not go away like they are supposed to. Temperature changes suck on the human immune system when it's dramatic. But it can be just as bad when it's very slow. At some point something has to give and when it does the affected peoples may not have the resources to get through any problems. So here's hoping that Mother Nature gets herself fixed and handles her business, preferably next spring.
